Half Century Christmas Bucket List

Paula Wynne, author of Create A Successful Website, used the run up to the festive season last year to create her ‘Bucket List’ and now almost a year later, she has seen her dream of becoming an author come to life and more - her book is now an Amazon bestseller.

Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson set a trend in their film The Bucket List, which has inspired many people across the world to set goals and targets for their life ambitions. Whether they are students and young people starting out to middle aged people set in their ways and even older people about to retire, they all have no intention of ‘get busy dying’. They want to get ‘busy living’ and start life adventures.

This is true in Paula’s case. Becoming an author was the first and most important journey on the list. Her deadline to achieve this was before her half century in a few years time. She took it one step further and sent herself a Christmas card detailing the top five ‘buckets’.

This proactive action forced her to do something about her lifelong goal and she sent a proposal for a new book idea to a few publishers. Her pitch was to write the kind of practical guide she couldn’t find when she created her own business websites.

To be unique she gathered a list of high profile experts and included their comments, advice and suggestions throughout the book’s content. There was a lot of interest in the idea of a beginner’s guide to creating a website and Paula was commissioned to write the book on Christmas Eve. Paula received the perfect Christmas gift and was able to tick off the first item on her list.

The book was launched in London a few weeks ago and within 12 hours of her book launch it became a No 1 Amazon’s bestseller. Paula said: “Wow, what a ride! Being able to fulfil dreams and enjoy life’s adventures creates such a buzz! Everyone should write their bucket list before Christmas!”

What better way to set goals and ambitions? Christmas and New Year is a time for reflection and inspiration for many people and Paula now knows and feels the pleasure in crossing off each item on your bucket list. Writing two books (the follow up book is published in the New Year) and reviving her aspirations during ‘Empty Nest Syndrome’ has been part of Paula’s 2010 goals, along with growth plans for her and her partner’s business to become the global leader for the home working world.

Paula’s inspiring tale, her warm enthusiasm and her ‘breath of fresh air’ has proved that awoman with sheer determination and strong-will can move mountains.
